There to Care support service.

Hi my name is Polly, and yes I can put the kettle on so we can all sit down with a cuppa and talk about how I can support you and your family in your own home or out and about. I am a naturally kind-hearted, caring and relaxed person with a good sense of humour wanting to help you remain independent, safe and supported in your own home or out in your local community.

About me, I’m originally from Kent, but have spent most of my adult working life in the West Country and now feel this is home. I have three children and two grandchildren, all have left home and been replaced by three dogs and a cat!

Working life, I have spent the last five years working in client financial services within adult social care and am very familiar with care and support plans and things like direct payments and personal budgets. Before this I worked in patient transport providing safe travel and support for clients to and from hospital or their appointments.

I am here to work with you for the best outcome.  As well as being someone who likes to do a thorough and professional job, I also love a good chat and listening to people’s life stories. I feel very proud and honoured to have spent time with my Nan who lived to 104, and hearing her stories of everything she lived through. This taught me so much about respecting people’s unique histories and valuing them for the long and rich lives they have led.

I look forward to working with you as I really enjoy helping people. I understand that sometimes in life, the simplest of things can become overwhelming, this is where I can help and be ‘There to Care’.
