Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) budget survey

Results of the annual ADASS budget survey suggest that funding cuts to social care budgets have totalled £4.6 billion since 2010 – a 31% overall reduction.

ADASS president, Ray James commented that the reduction will affect the ability of adult social care to sustain services to those in greatest need. Some councils, he said, have made savings by freezing care provider fees which has had an impact on staff training and skills.
