What we do

Birmingham Small Good Stuff does two things:

We link people who need care or support with local people who might help.

We help small organisations that offer care or support. We provide them with information, publicity and access to a friendly network.

What we believe

We're the friendly website that believes:

People want care and support at times and in ways that suit them.

Local people helping other local people is good for everyone and for communities.

Very small organisations can offer great care and be imaginative and responsive.

Very small organisations struggle to tell people what they can offer (they don’t have huge marketing budgets like the big guys).

Support for local unpaid carers from Forward Carers – An award-winning not-for-profit that have been empowering unpaid Carers to live fulfilling lives since 2014. Their mission is to create Carer Friendly Communities where everyone can play a part in improving Carer wellbeing.

Local classes

Good news stories

Ways for Wellbeing have been awarded £10k from National Lottery for 12 months of work. They have been chatting to a couple of partnerships to support work with other charities, namely Augmented Lifestyles (to carry out a series of workshops with their clients) and Sakeenah Foundation (to carry out some work with their clients). The work is around low level mental health and wellbeing support and guidance, and we are looking to start the sessions as of March onwards out in the community in Lozells, Handsworth, Hall Green and Small Heath.
They have also recently been awarded funding for a community engagement day to take place in Hall Green, have land that they are looking to develop into a Wellbeing in Nature space, found out that they have been successful with their application for digital devices that they can distribute to individual service users they support, and been awarded funding from the Birmingham Adults Transitions team to support young people with additional needs!
