Community Events (and Events for Carers) in Stoke on Trent

Helping Angels Charitable Association is a small, grassroots charity in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. We support vulnerable adults, children and their families to reach their full potential.

Community Social Groups at The Indi Club

Our team supports disabled and vulnerable adults of all ages (14 plus), to regularly access a range of diverse activities and workshops. We are partnered and work with a variety of local businesses, activity providers and workshop leaders to deliver specialised activity programmes that promote:

  • Independence
  • Social inclusion
  • Physical Wellbeing
  • Emotional wellbeing

We offer an inclusive space, giving a warm welcome regardless of background, ability, or circumstance. Our social groups take place at The Indi Club, an inclusive community hub in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent. Everyone is welcome!


Motivational Mondays | 10am – 4pm | £15.00 | Carers go free

On Mondays we focus on learning and developing new life skills. Some of our regular Monday activities include: Cooking sessions, inclusive sports sessions and educational life skills workshops.

Tuesday – Cozy Club | 12pm – 2pm | Free

A hot meal , a warm space and an activity, funded by National Grid.

OPEN TO EVERYONE

Wellbeing Wednesdays | 10am – 4pm | £15.00 | Carers go free

On Wednesdays we focus on physical and emotional wellbeing. Some of our regular Wednesday activities include: Yoga, mindfulness sessions, art therapy sessions, health visits and nature walks.

Together Thursdays – Open to all ages! | 4:30pm – 8:30pm | £3.00pp

On Thursday evenings we focus on promoting social inclusion and community building. Some of our regular social evening activities include: Bingo, board games, theme and quiz nights and discos.

Fun Fridays | 10am – 4pm | £15.00 | Carers go free

On Fridays we focus on socialising and having fun. Some of our regular Friday activities include: Dance & drama, Music & Movement, pub lunches, local day trips and karaoke.

 

Day Trips and Short Breaks

We offer day trips and short UK breaks with accessible and adapted transport. We visit the seaside, the zoo, educational attractions, and many other exciting places! Additionally, we regularly arrange trips to visit local heritage sites and attractions.

 

Our daytime sessions include lunch and refreshments. On Thursday evenings, food and refreshments are available to purchase. Booking is essential.
