Community led care and support
Sian Lockwood, our Chief Executive of Community Catalysts has written a really interesting blog on her contribution to a recent SCIE Round Table Discussion on community led care and support.
Community Catalysts are the folks who run Small Good Stuff and Sian’s contribution to this discussion was from our experience of supporting community enterprises that have a care or support focus.
Community-led support is usually led by local people who want to help other local people, very often without help or advice, sometimes getting things wrong and encountering barriers and problems that can seem insurmountable. In her blog Sian tells 2 stories which illustrate this, one of a village and one of a community micro-enterprise.
