Community micro-enterprise project off to a flying start in 2023

Happy 2023 everyone, and what an amazing start to the year. We’ve had a flurry of enquiries following our editorial and advertisement in the Read This Magazine, distributed in the North Cherwell area (Banbury and surrounding area). With a real local connection, it has been very fruitful connecting with local people with passion and great enthusiasm for this approach.

We have more participants signed off on the Doing It Right Standards, and with an increase of events taking place the new year has started off busy busy, which I love.

On that note, I wish you all a great 2023 whether you like it busy or quiet. There are now 72 community micro-enterprises offering services around Oxfordshire, and with daily enquiries about the project the numbers of those coming onboard are growing.

The most recent to launch and be offering much needed services in the Banbury area is Home Care Trust with Irum. Irum was focused on providing quality care in her local area and completed the Doing It Right Standards in just a couple of months.

The variety of what people are doing in the area is demonstrated by one of the great new providers Tor who is offering something a bit different – Home Help – Decluttering and Organising Service. We can all relate to how much stuff we seem to have in our homes, and when faced with poor health or helping a relative it can be overwhelming where to start sorting through years of memories and clutter, all mixed together a lot of the time.
