FREE Community Connector signposting workshop in Somerset

What is a Community Connector?
Community Connectors are citizens who provide an important link between their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, and the support available to them in their community. They help people access support, advice and activities that could improve their health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

How do I become a Community Connector?
Go to one of the free signposting workshops offered by Spark Somerset. You’ll find out how you can help your friends, neighbours, family, and colleagues to access information on a range of subjects, including:

  • Physical and mental health support
  • Housing and debt advice
  • Befriending
  • Meeting new people
  • Getting active
  • Community transport
  • Older people’s services
  • Support for families and young people

Who can be a Community Connector?
Anybody who would like to find out about the range of support available in their community and is happy to share. This is an informal role!

The next signposting workshop is: Wednesday 30th January, the Minster Rooms, Court Barton, Ilminster, TA19 0DU from 1:30pm-3:30pm
