Ideas and Pioneers Fund from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation
The Ideas and Pioneers Fund from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation supports people with unusual or radical ideas to improve the life chances and opportunities of people in the UK. Grants of up to £10,000 (and up to £15,000 in exceptional circumstances) are available to individuals, partnerships or small organisations.
The Fund wants to work with people whose ideas are in their early stages of development and will consider funding work to develop ideas from concept to set-up: this may include problem definition and analysis, scoping, exploratory work and prototyping. The Fund will help you to get started and introduce you to a group of peers for mutual support.
Are you eligible?
Applicants can be individuals, small organisations or a small group of independent pioneers (no more than three). If you are applying as an organisation, this Fund is best suited to support small organisations that employ no more than five people (or full-time equivalent). All applications must have an individual lead contact who is closely involved in the work.
The key qualities that the Fund looks for in pioneers are passion, commitment and resilience. You will be able to demonstrate experience and understanding of the issue/ social change you are seeking to address.
Applications are welcomed from people who have not received grant funding before and are keen to support people based anywhere in the UK. If you are applying as an individual, you must be aged 18 years or over.
The application process comprises a written application and submission of a two-minute video. Applications are ongoing on a rolling basis.
