New Integrated Personal Commissioning sites for NHS England announced
From the 1st April 2015 10,000 people with complex lives will have the opportunity to decide how their combined health and social care fund is spent on meeting their needs, thereby helping to cultivate a person-centred approach that offers choice and control.
This was the announcement made last week by NHS England and the Local Government Association when they unveiled the first wave of ‘demonstrator’ sites. These are eight local authorities which have successfully put in place and are refining their integrated personal commissioning programmes, from which other sites can learn.
Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) is supporting the Integrated Personal Commissioning programme by launching a website and publishing briefings based on their knowledge of how to develop sound person-centred care and finance models
