A Little Help

A Little Help a small change a big difference to make your life a better one….

My name is Jayne McCormack and I am the proprietor of A Little Help

A Little Help is a small independent and locally based service that offers a range of very personalised and individually tailored social and practical supports to vulnerable adults who may need that little bit of extra help.

I have a wealth of experience supporting people for the past 10 years. During this time I have worked with people with a learning and/or physical disability, people with autism and Asperger Syndrome, people with mental health needs. I have learnt from my experiences as an employee of a number of different large providers that service delivery at a large scale can often entail limitations and constraints that can be at odds with a person’s individual needs. This has often frustrated me and I decided to set up my own small independent support service so that I could use all of my experience in a very positive way to make a real difference to people’s lives. I do hope you enjoy reading about what A Little Help can offer to you and if you have any questions at all, please do get in touch as I would love to hear from you.

A range of services and supports are available to you in your own home or in the community from A Little Help including:

Help with managing your finances. Help with household chores.Shopping – doing it for you, or accompanying you. Accessing community facilities. Transport and accompaniment to medical, benefits, or other appointments .Respite for family members. Day trips out – on a 1 to 1 or small group basis. Bringing new things people and creating friendships and support networks for individuals who need it.

The supports on offer from A Little Help are available on weekdays and the occasional evening and weekend basis if the need arises. I am able to work with people who have personal budgets and people who finance their own support.

My ethos goes far beyond being a paid worker as I value each and every person that I work with and I strive to make positive changes to their life. I believe that every person should have their own unique personal needs and aspirations met and I am here to help you achieve your goals, develop confidence and life skills and enjoy life! You and I will work together to assess your own unique needs and goals to develop your own person centred support plan.

I can work with people with a wide range of needs including
