Always Bee You CIO provides social and work opportunities for adults with learning disabilities in Hertfordshire and Essex.

We also provide respite for parents and carers in the form of yoga and art classes.

We are based at Southern Maltings Art Centre in Ware and provide a wide range of fun activities such as dance classes, singing lessons, party nights, karaoke,  bingo, film nights, West End theatre trips, drama and storytelling. Our Wednesday and Friday evening club nights are very popular and we try different activities every week. We also go out for meals and run special quiz and ice cream evenings at Mr Simms sweet shop in Ware.

We also run a Saturday morning art and brunch club for our group who create exciting art works of their choice combined with a home cooked brunch. Carers are welcome to join in with a special yoga and art class dedicated to provide relaxation and wellbeing.

During COVID we developed a Door Step Cafe delivering cream teas to our group and their families, we also run online yoga and art classes.

Our work opportunities are based at Paradise Wildlife Park , Premier Inn  and Southern Maltings Art Centre and are supported by experienced staff who are qualified tutors and NVQ Assessors. We teach all aspects of retail, customer service, hospitality and housekeeping.

Our staff have over 20 years experience in running clubs and services and we have a dedicated group of wonderful volunteers who provide extra support.

We are a friendly bunch and our sessions are based on the wants and needs of the group. We have a lot of fun and it gives us a lot of pleasure to know we are making a difference.
