Hello there,

Deciding that you need a little bit of help from a care professional is a big step, and one that can be very nerve racking.  The idea of letting a stranger into your home and personal life can seem very strange and scary.  You might feel like your independence and dignity is becoming lost.  Well this is exactly why I love this job.  I get the opportunity to help people who may feel vulnerable, lonely or scared.  Help them to adjust to a different kind of normal, gain their trust and hopefully help them to maintain their independence and bring a little bit of joy.

So that I don’t seem like such a stranger, here is a little bit about myself.

My name is Paige Holland, I am 25 years of age and I live in Crewkerne (have done for 25 years).  I have 6 plus years of experience within the community care and support sector.  Before I started care work I did some waitressing and shop assistant work. I love cooking which led me to complete an NVQ 1 & 2 in catering and hospitality.  I also love animals, and over the years my family have had a vast range of pets which has been interesting to say the least!  Adventures, days out, music, family, friends, fun and helping others best describes my life.

So that’s me!  People are incredible and that’s why I love getting to know them, hearing the stories of individual lives is something I find fascinating and being able to help those in need is invaluable.

Well that’s the introductions out of the way.  Next is what I can help you with.

Duties can include but are not limited too: personal care, welfare checks, sitting service, overnight care, shopping, cooking, housework, day trips, escort to appointments or any other personal requirements.  Live in care will also be considered depending on my work load and availability.

I have experience working with older people, people living with dementia, and people with  life long illnesses and palliative care needs.

All care will be personalised to each Individual persons and your circumstances.

Covering the Crewkerne area and surrounding towns and villages.
