Aspire with Steph Personal Services

(New service going live 8th February 2021. Please feel free to make enquiries, I can meet now and take bookings.)

Hello! My name is Steph and welcome to Aspire with Steph PA Services.

I am a qualified and registered Social Worker with a 1st Class BSC (Hons) Social Work, and have been in practice for just over 3 years. Since my qualification, I have been working in Adults Mental Health Social Care providing social care input and support to those in the community who are experiencing mental health illness. Previous to this, I was a support worker for adults with Learning Disabilities. I have in total approximately 10 years experience working in the Adults Health and Social Care Sector. I have a new Enhanced DBS check that covers work with Children and Adults.

I absolutely love my work, however I would now like to move away from my desk and get back out into the community to provide the personalised practical help, support and comfort people need.

Aspire with Steph is focused on person centered, customer directed help and support to help facilitate and enable peoples wishes and aspirations to be realised. These aspirations could be: to continue to live in your own home, to develop independent living skills to become more self reliant, to manage day to day living responsibilities, or to enable your carer to have some respite. Whatever your aspirations are, Aspire with Steph will listen to your wishes and work with yourself and your family to create a bespoke care and support plan that will detail how and when you would like to be supported.

I am able and competent to work with individuals with various and complex needs, including Mental Health. I am happy to consider specialist support with the correct guidance and training from qualified health professionals. Due to my role as a Social Worker, I am knowledgeable and experienced in Adult Safeguarding and working within the parameters of Mental Capacity Act, Best Interest and Deprivation of Liberty legislation.

My services can include, but are in no way exclusive to:

  • Day to day domestic help – e.g. cleaning, shopping, helping with paperwork.
  • Getting out and about – e.g. going into town, out for a walk, using public transport, attending appointments, attending activities or social groups.
  • Home Care – e.g. personal care incl. meal preparation, toileting, washing and dressing, medication support (NOTE: This must be requested in writing and GP notified – training may be required for some medications).
  • Dementia care – NOTE: If the individual receiving support is not able to arrange the care themselves, then a representative who is legally permitted to make care decisions on their behalf must be able to do this for them.
  • Sitting service / respite – Can also include night sits / waking nights, or sleep in by special arrangement only to enable carer respite.
  • Mental health social support.
  • Development of independent living skills.
  • Transitions support – 16 years plus transitioning to Adult Services.

If you require a service I have not identified, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs and how I can help.
