Better Together Support

Do you need support?

If you need help at home with some light chores, would like to do some arts and crafts, need motivation to exercise, or would like a chat then I can help. I also offer help with collections, shopping or meal preparation, support to go to activities or medical appointments and carer respite.

My name is Gill and I have a son who had meningitis as a baby and now lives with full body cerebral palsy. I know what it is like when life can be challenging and when we just need some extra support around the home or within our community. This has led me to work in community care and extra care homes through the NHS & BANES for the last couple of years.

During this time, I  have gained a Care Certificate, and furthered my interest in mental health by studying  Mental Health First Aid, Advanced Autism Awareness, Counselling Skills and Art Therapy.

On a personal side I have 10 years’ experience working with my disabled son who is non verbal and pureed fed.  We have had to deal with seizures in the past and have various medical appointments and ongoing therapies.  This has given me the necessary skills to deal with all sorts of circumstances and the confidence to support others.

I have a lot of empathy and love meeting new people and having a chat. I want to give you enough time to make sure you feel supported and empowered to do what you need to do.

Give me a call and we can arrange an initial chat and find out how I can help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I am fully insured, have an enhanced DBS Certificate, registered with ICO to keep your data safe.
