Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies

BCAT is a local charity that has been providing arts therapies since 1993. We have become one of the leading arts therapies and arts in health providers in the West Midlands. We work with schools, NHS, libraries, public, private and charity sector.

BCAT provide professional HCPC registered arts therapists in art, drama, music, dance movement and play, to assist adults and children find coping mechanisms to deal with physical or emotional trauma.

BCAT also provide a very active community therapeutic arts in health and wellbeing service – delivering community arts and mindfulness based workshops to numerous communities, organisations and charities across the West Midlands.

If you are a social care specialist, adult, child or family looking for support for mental health either through one to one arts therapy, or want to participate in our community work (we run 16 free arts clubs across Birmingham in local libraries!) then please get in touch or visit our website for more details.
