Capable Citizens Collective

Alexis, my name means helper, and my aim is to do just that – help people! Whether that means lending a helping hand with the things you are starting to find tricky, getting out and about, trying new things, or just having a good ol’ chin wag, I am here to help you live life on your terms…

You are the hero of your own story, I am simply here to act as your guide!

With over thirty years of experience in health and social care, including later life complexity, community engagement, independent living, and occupational therapy, I am able to offer you, and your loved ones, a truly personalised approach to your care and support needs.

As someone who has supported her parents through serious ill health, as well as being a nanny to twin boys, both with an autism diagnosis, I also really understand what it is like to care for your family while attempting to juggle the zillions of other things life throws at you…

So, I will always work with everyone who is a part of the picture, even during those times when a really courageous conversation is needed, to ensure that everyone’s feelings and concerns are taken into account. Life doesn’t always go according to plan, but the Capable Companions service will help you to find a way forward, by providing you with the same level of care as if you were part of my own family.

Of course, I recognise that creating a meaningful relationship takes time and dedication, but having met all of the professional standards needed to build that confidence and reassurance, I would love the chance to come and talk with you about this one of a kind home-help service that places you right at its heart!
