Care for Nottingham
We provide a local community service for local people which is available to all adults aged 18 and over who are living with dementia, parkinson’s, alzheimer’s or learning disabilities, and also carers who require respite or have an appointment that they need to attend, for whatever the reason we will be happy to try and help.
We offer personal care and support to everybody who chooses to use our service, together with daily activities, social interaction and a midday meal in a warm, friendly, stimulating environment, with hours that are flexible to suit each person and their families/carers or advocates.
The care and activities are centred around each individual person and are planned via an holistic assessment of needs and involvement from families/carers/advocates to ensure we provide a positive and meaningful experience throughout the time each person spends with us at our centre.
We provide a structured and supported programme where all can feel safe, have a sense of belonging and feel valued as part of a family, community and civic life and where everyone can continue to have the opportunity to develop new interests and new social networks.
We believe we can continue to develop a culture of compassionate care in building and strengthening our relationships and in our working practices.
We support our staff in being pro-active and more structured in being able to provide an environment that is dementia friendly.
