Cariad Care RCT

Hi, I’m Rebecca founder of Cariad Care RCT.

At Cariad Care RCT we offer and provide the care and support you want when you want it. Our services are tailored to you, the individual.

We put the person at the centre of all that we do. We fit our services around you so you get the support you want. Our services are entirely person-led.

Here’s a little about me.

I live in Aberdare with my husband and two sons.

I went to Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun and then Cardiff University, where I studied Sociology. I also lived in and studied in Gran Canaria for a short time.

I have spent my career working at amazing charities.

At Catrefi Cymru I was a Support Worker supporting adults with profound learning disabilities.

Whilst at the Stroke Association I was Day Services and Communication Support Coordinator managing local stroke rehabilitation services for stroke survivors.

At MIND I was a Peer Advocate being a voice for people with mental health issues.

I then moved on to become Locality Development Manager at Cardiff Institute for the Blind, managing and coordinating services for people with sight loss across RCT and Merthyr Tydfil.

I am currently working at Parkinson’s UK as Community Development Coordinator , managing a large team of volunteers and developing services with the Parkinson’s community across South Wales.

I am also an agency worker with BS Social.

In addition to paid employment, I have carried out multiple voluntary roles. I have been a trustee for ASD Rainbows and Cynon Valley PALS and been the Chair of Governors at Park Lane Special School. I am an avid campaigner and supporter of autism as both my sons are autistic.

I look forward to learning more about you.

Rebecca
