Hello, my name is Karen. I am healthcare assistant and support worker who lives in Yeovil and is looking to provide care within the radius of 20 miles of the town.
I love to listen and learn new knowledge and skills and am a truly kind person who understands time is precious and worth every moment. My goal is to give you the best quality of life whilst promoting your independence and never to provide care which is not safe, caring, effective and well-led. I have a calm nature and am passionate about the services I deliver. I always take pride in my work and ensure I support individuals with a person centred approach, this can be provided by promoting independence and empowerment.
I have worked as a healthcare assistant and support worker for around 18 years during this time I have gained experience in many different settings such as an NHS hospital, individual’s homes and communities. Prior to working in care I was lucky enough to serve in the Royal Navy this gave many life skills such as being reliable, conscientious and allowed me to experience many different cultures and beliefs. This enabled me to have an open mind and not to display prejudice or discriminatory behaviours and to always respects other peoples beliefs.
I have a NVQ level 2 in health and social care and have completed all mandatory trainings to provide care these are all up to date so that I remain to be safe and professional.
