Champions for Care
My Name is Annick and I started my own micro enterprise called Champions For Care to make a difference in my community. For me care is very personal. I have cared for my own family members and I feel strongly that everyone deserves the standard of care we would expect for our own loved ones. So that is what I have set up to do.
At Champions for Care we know that everyone is different which is why we take our time to get to know you and your family. We will work with you to know your likes and dislikes, what help you need and how we can best help. We will agree on a plan based on the understanding that things can change and it needs to be right by you.
Having worked in hospitals, nursing homes and the community for the last 8 years, I realise that it is difficult to get the right help, at the right time by the right person. Because we are small we can be flexible around you and help you with whatever you may need, which could be trip to the shops, running a hover around, or help with the more personal aspects of care.
It might be just the comfort of knowing someone is there, and a friendly ear. I know how hard it is having people come in your home which is why we promise to keep your personal details confidential and to always respect your privacy. Communication is very important to us, so we will always tell you if there are any changes and would like to know how you feel about our support.
I have experience of working with people living with dementia, parkinsons disease, stroke, spinal injury, and head injury, and I have experience of cough assist, catheter management, PEG feed and insulin management and injection.
I am fully insured, have a DBS check and references from people who are happy to share experiences of my support
Champions For Care take pride in caring for others
