CommunicationforAll is a small locally based provider offering a range of support services to people who have communication difficulties and their families or circles of support.  We also offer a unique training opportunity in Workshop Co-Facilitation to people who have a learning disability.

Being unable to communicate affects all aspects of a person’s life.  Good and effective communication can help to ensure that a person is able to communicate their wants and needs and to enable them to lead a full, independent and rewarding life.

We believe passionately that everyone has the right to be heard, and we encourage, enable and develop suitable methods of communication depending on the person. We are fully trained in Signalong- which is the 2nd most common signing system in UK based on British Sign Language. We are also fully trained and practising tutors for Inclusive Communication Essex (see www.essexice.co.uk for free resources and information)

We are able to work within a 60 mile radius from our location in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire

Small Group Workshops

Come and be part of a small group of people who have communication difficulties and would like to learn a fun way to communicate. Bring along a member of your family or circle of support who wants to learn with you.

We will meet once a week for 5 weeks when we will work together to improve our skills and confidence in signalong and explore other creative ways in which we can make ourselves understood.

The charge per session is £50 (this covers both you and the member of your family or circle of support that is coming along with you). A lower charge will apply if any member of the group or their family/circle of support is able to source a suitable rent free venue

1:1 Bespoke Support

We will work together on exploring and developing the ways of communicating that work best for YOU.

With your family and other people in your life working alongside us, you will improve your ability to be heard, understood and listened to.

Your own skills and confidence in communicating your wants and needs will improve, helping you to lead a full, independent and rewarding life.

Train to become a workshop co-facilitator

Our training programme will offer people who have a learning disability the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to co-facilitate a workshop.

In addition to developing your skills and confidence and enhancing your CV, your completion of this programme may lead to possible volunteering or employment opportunities with CommunicationforAll and/or other providers.

This programme is for 20 hours training and will consist of 10 sessions lasting 2 hours running for 10 weeks.   The total cost for the whole programme is £250, which is £25 per session.

Other services and supports

CommunicationforAll also offers Disability Awareness training for families and carers; ‘Reach for the Stars’-person centred planning with & for people with a learning disability to empower them to reach for their hopes and dreams.
