Dalia’s Friendly Home Care

Hello, my name is Dalia.  I moved to Wells in June 2017, and I love the area and it’s great friendly community spirit.

I started working as a live-in carer in December 2009 with a small, family run agency, and had a great chance to gain a lot of experience in care field.  Somerset and Wiltshire have been the two main counties that I have worked in over the last 7 years.

I have worked with fully independent people, as well as with people having very high care needs.  My duties have included companionship, talking therapy, cooking and preparing meals to specific tastes and dietary requirements, driving, appointments and outings, shopping, liaising with health care professionals and family, medication prompting, personal care, maintaining the interests and hobbies of the people I have worked with, and also ensuring mental and physical stimulation within each person’s capabilities.

I have received very positive feedback from relatives of the people I have been caring for. They see me as being very reliable, friendly, hardworking, adaptable and positive person.

Care work for me is more than a job.  I enjoy helping people and you can be assured your independance is of great importance to me and I’ll do my best to help you to maintain it.

I enjoy being around older people as I believe you can share with us so much of your rich and interesting life experience.

I am self- employed, with regularly updated DBS checks.  I have an automatic car and hold a full clean driving licence.  I also hold care work related certificates, and can provide excellent references on request.

Thank you and I am very looking forward to hearing from you soon.
