D’Vine Singers

Contact details

We are a friendly Wellbeing Choir, who meet to enjoy singing for fun and companionship.  We started out in 2014 as part of a research study into singing and mental health.  Having shown that singing in a supportive group is hugely beneficial in all sorts of ways, we’ve carried on independently with grant funding, which means we can offer free sessions.  We meet on Fridays in term time from 12.00 – 1.30 at the Vine Baptist Church on Park Lane in Sevenoaks and you can drop in any time, even if you can’t make a regular commitment.  We sing a wide range of songs, from rounds and spirituals to folk music from around the world, all taught by ear so you don’t need to read music.  There are no auditions – everyone is welcome!  There’s plenty of roadside parking and we enter via the little blue door at the side of the building.  To find out more, please ring Jacky, on 07708 237418 or email

The D'Vine Singers were awarded Highly Commended in the Sevenoaks District Council 'Making it Happen' Community Awards 2019. Choirleader Jacky Hintze was also Highly Commended in the 2022 Community Awards for her role in community choir work during the pandemic.

I have been through the Community Catalysts programme in Kent - 13/03/2023 Community Catalysts runs a local development programme in the area where this entrepreneur is operating that offers help, advice and support to local people. As part of this programme this enterprise/venture has signed up to the Doing It Right Standards. This does not mean that they have been accredited or approved in any way by the local council or by Community Catalysts and people should continue to do their own checks.
