Emma Janes Support Services

Letting a stranger in to your life is a big decision, to assist you, as the client, to be able to make this choice I have included a short introduction into who I am, what I can offer and what my values are.

My name is Emma Jane, and I am the sole trader for Emma Janes Support Services. Throughout my time working within the adult social care sector, I have gained a multitude of experience, this is partly through working alongside some very knowledgeable people but mainly due to the fact that I have been fortunate enough to care for some extraordinary adults with very complex conditions.

My career has taken various paths, working with:

·        The elderly – Dementia care and older person’s mental health.

·        Young adults – Challenging behaviours, emotional dependency, self-harm.

·        Learning disabilities – Challenging behaviours, communication barriers, varying levels of capacity.

I decided to become a micro provider because over time, it has become evident that there is a shortage for reliable, good quality support staff within our local community, especially for those individuals that are potentially the most vulnerable. I pride myself on my commitment, dedication and genuinely caring for those that I support, whether this is on a personal care basis, shopping, gardening or through chaperoning. I take great care in what I do, and I want each client to feel that my support is of benefit to them. On a personal level, my Grandad played a massive role in my life, teaching me to have great respect for others and giving me the foundations on which I have built my values. This is what pushes me forward to deliver the best service I feel I can.

My aim is to deliver person centred support in which ever form is needed to ensure the individual that is accessing my service, is able to have a fulfilled and independent life. I hope that the service I provide gives my client peace of mind in knowing that my intention is to be a positive added extra to their day.
