Essential Care Carer Respite logo

Hello, Essential Care offer a quality respite service to older people living with Dementia and their families.

As a retired Mental Health Nurse with 25 years of experience, I am able to offer a safe, competent and quality carer respite service to those who need it. The service can provide continuity and stability to the person living with Dementia in their own me and provides support to carer by working closely with them.

Respite care is essential to allow carers the rest they need and to take care of their own health and well-being. Respite care enables you to recharge and continue to be able to take care of your loved one.

Support can be individually tailored to meet the persons own needs and requirements. I can be flexible with regard to days to meet the carer’s needs and to allow that essential ‘me time’.

The support I offer includes;

·         Personal Care

·         Practical help around the home

·         Companionship

·         Life Story Work

·         Reminiscence

·         Support in maintaining social activities

My aim is to establish a therapeutic relationship with carers and families so that the carer is happy that their loves one is with a trusted carer. My philosophy of care is that it should place the person at the forefront of my practice and that enables me to provide a quality service that treats people with dignity respect and compassion.
