We act like a ‘dating agency’ linking groups and individuals to selected family farms or other rural sites for therapeutic purposes in the South of England.
A typical programme would be for one day per week for 12 weeks, lasting from 10am -3pm. Regular farmwork would be carried out under the supervision of the farmer according to the service user’s age, ability and choice. There is always a wide variety of jobs to do; the work might be checking and feeding animals, short term tasks such as painting a shed or pruning in an orchard and lastly long term projects such as renovating a pond or planting woodland.
All sectors of service user are eligible subject to suitability to the nearest farm in their area.
