Hello! My name is Brendan. I have been an Actor for 40 years and also have experience in care work. Flashback! Life Story Work helps people living with dementia and those advanced in years stay connected with their own lives and the things they enjoy, by linking their past with the present and the future. By using conversation, photos, music and other stimuli to capture stories about a person to promote their personhood and wellbeing, to keep them connected with family. Life stories can be collated into different formats ranging from memory boxes to books or even short videos. These memories can accompany the person from their home into full-time care, allowing their new carers to fully appreciate them as individuals.
