My name is Melitta Izzard, I am a Sole Trader offering a one person (that’s me) Micro Provision in and around the Mendip area.  I am in possession of Carer and Personal Assistant insurance and Enhanced DBS  (pending)
I live in Wookey Hole with my husband, 2 dogs and cat Mabel.  My children have flown the nest, but often come back for visits and food.
I am an experienced social care worker with a wealth of experience spanning 30 years.  My experience travels from working in Somerset NHS as an OT assistant in day care supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities to learn new skills or with various activities then moving on to supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities in various home settings across East Somerset to being a Registered Manager/Team manager in Residential and Supported living settings supporting adults with Learning Disabilities.

I believe my experience can be transferable to support anyone of any ability who may want to use my service.
I am a cheerful person known to be calm and resourceful in emergency situations.
I can help you to have dignified personal care and support designed with you for you.
I can help you to prepare your meals and to eat your meals in the way that meets your needs
I can help you to identify how you want to spend your time with me, plan activities either together or an activity you can do with friends.
I can help you attend your health appointments and to administer an dispense their prescribed medication.
Other support I may be able to help you with are overnight stays, household chores, support to college or to a late night gig!
