Growing Choices
Growing Choices is a small community project based in Pilsley, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The main aim of the project is to involve local people in gardening and related activities.
To sum it up we are all about gardening for the body, mind, heart and soul. There are daytime sessions and the project aims to be a place to grow, in its widest sense.
We offer regular day-time sessions on the Growing Choices garden site or “The Plot” as we now call it. While we are a small project we’re very good at Growing 🙂 There is always lots going on and the monthly programme is varied.
What we do changes each month, as does the garden and the four seasons. We have both indoor and outdoor spaces and can also vary the activities according to the weather.
Growing Choices is quite near other places such as Hardwick Hall and a lot of walks and gardens, so we can visit these places for picnics and so on.
