Hello my name is Shirley Rigby. I have been working as a domiciliary carer for over 5 years and I don’t know why I never started sooner as I love doing this work I have always needed to help people in one way or another. Before I started full time caring, I ran my own Holistic and Beauty Business, since 2005 and a Cleaning Service Business, since 2015. I consider, that what I am most passionate about, is to be of service to others.
Being a carer, takes everything to a much deeper level. There is nothing more rewarding, than being able to reach out to another fellow being. Whether it’s through a smile and offering companionship, helping with a task or activity, or supporting someone with daily personal care. Helping each other by extending a hand of love, kindness and healing, is much needed in this day and age.
At the ripe young age of 50, I have procured a wealth of knowledge and skills. I’m young at heart, cheerful (with a good sense of humor) empathic, compassionate, meticulous, reliable and have very high standards.
My motto has always been to “Treat others, as you would want to be treated”. So you deserve the very best!

The qualifications I hold are:
CQC Care Certificate
Level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate
First Aid
The safe handling and the administration of medication
Moving and handling (with and without hoists and stand aids etc.)
Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Therapies
I am fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate
