Herts Drum Meetup

Herts Drum Meetup is a small and friendly community based provider offering the unique opportunity to create your own music by taking part in African Drumming sessions which can be offered on a 1:1 or small group basis.

We can work with you in your own home, and current customers include a young lady with complex learning disability needs and a recent diagnosis of dementia.

We can also enable other providers to enhance what they offer to the people who use their service with the availability of group drumming sessions.  Previous customers have included care home providers and day opportunity providers.

Herts Drum Meetup has many years’ experience of running African drumming groups. We are passionate about the benefits of ALL people having the opportunity to make their own music.  We have set up Herts Drum Meetup because many people in the community do not get the chance to do this. This might be because they are older, have a learning and/or a physical disability, have mental health needs or dementia, or because they are lonely and isolated.

There are many benefits to making music -including improved concentration, social interaction, confidence and an improved ability to use one’s own initiative. – as well as having a lot of fun !

We are able to work within a 25 mile radius from where we are located in Hemel Hempstead

COMING SOON……

Inclusive group jamming sessions using a range of musical instruments at a community venue in St Albans or Hemel Hempstead.  All will be welcome – please do get in touch if you would like to be kept informed on when these sessions start.
