Hello, my name is Gemma Coles! I’m 21 years old and have 3 years’ experience in the health care industry as a Support Worker. During my 3 years as a Support Worker I have worked mostly with adults with learning disabilities and this involved promoting their independence and supporting them to live as independently as possible. I also have a small amount of experience working within a residential care home for the elderly.
I have a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and I have also completed my Care Certificate. Along with those I have also been fortunate enough to have completed other relevant training courses such as; Manual Handling, First Aid, Food Hygiene, PEG training, Sensory Processing training and Mental Capacity Act training.
I have decided to become a micro provider as I have a passion for helping people and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing I have made a difference to someone’s life, even if it’s only a small amount.
All care and support that I provide will be personalised to each individual so that they are receiving the highest possible care in the best possible way.
