My name is Jemma – I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (adults) along with several care certificates. Following a career you find fulfilling while fitting in looking after a young family can be difficult, so I decided to set up my own micro-enterprise called Jemma’s Care At Home. I want to support you in a way I’d like to think one of my relatives would be looked after. I have experience of working in home care, at a nursing home, a residential home and also in mental health. I even have 2/3 of my Level 1 British Sign Language certificate!

At Jemma’s Care At Home I offer to help in whatever way works for you. That includes help to get out of bed in the morning, up and dressed and ready for the day ahead, or to get ready for bed. I can help with shopping- from taking you and carrying the heavy bags, to shopping for you. I understand how much of a struggle household chores can be- I can even help with those. Whatever support you’re looking for, we can have a chat to see if I can help.

Jemma’s Care At Home know that being on your own is no fun. I can help you meet up with friends and family, and to enjoy some fresh air. I’d be happy to just sit with you for a chit chat too.

I understand it might be hard to let a carer into your home, to share personal details and give access to your private concerns. I promise to always respect your privacy and dignity and keep information about you confidential.

At Jemma’s Care At Home I believe passionately in providing person centred care. We’re all different after all. I will take time to understand your rules and how you want things done. I promise that I will go the extra mile to follow those rules and to support you ‘your way’, to help you stay in your home for as long as possible.
