Julie Rogers Counselling Service

Support groups for people who have experienced bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression or loneliness who want to discover a healthier way of living.

Hi I’m Julie – I have lived experience and I know what it is like not to have the right support when you need it, and that is why I do the work I do. I want people to be able to access the support at an affordable price. I have put together my own programme/workshop which is called ‘Living in the Moment’ – this programme has won an award nationally for Social Prescribers 2022. My workshops cover bereavement support, anxiety and depression, trauma, healing our inner child and so much more.

I have 23 years’ experience as a counsellor working within an integrative approach using the person-centred model as my foundation. I look to run groups, not as a counsellor, but using the skillset that I have acquired over the years in holding and supporting groups.

My workshops aim to help and support mental health recovery, supporting people to engage within the community and to gain the support they need to live a good life.

I run my groups in a safe and confidential setting and I create boundaries for all the group to abide by so they feel safe. Some of the people I have supported have become volunteers and have run peer support groups under my supervision which have also been very successful and beneficial to people. I empower people to reach their potential, to accept themselves, encourage self-belief, support people to process their feelings and encourage a healthier way of living.

I offer support via a group of up to ten people. Sessions can be delivered face-to-face in person or remotely via zoom.

Please contact me for further information, specific dates/times or to book onto sessions.
