Kith ‘n’ Kin CIC

We understand that as a parent of a child who has meltdowns and explosive behaviour  it is exhausting and isolating. There is a lot of parent blaming in society from agencies and even relatives and neighbours. Carrying on your own family life and keeping your intimate relationships going amidst all this pressure can be very hard. It can seem like no one understands, or can offer any real help. This can all leave you feeling emotionally exhausted.

That is why we have set up Kith’n’Kin where we offer groups where you can connect with other parents who understand, with no judgement. The groups are places where you can:

·      Learn to keep yourself safe
·      Strengthen your relationship with your child
·      Develop ways to reduce and avoid meltdowns
·      Learn how to break the cycle of behaviour
·      Find non-judgemental support with others
·      A safe place to unload and take a moment for yourself
·      Learn a life changing new perspective
·      Learn relaxation and self care techniques

Our motto is ‘ It takes a Village to raise a Child’. We believe too much pressure is focused on parents and that families need a network of supporters to share this important task of raising the next generation.
