Lean On Me Wellbeing Services
Hello, My name is Wendy.
I have lived in Denbighshire most of my life. I decided to set up a small enterprise after working for The British Red Cross based in the A&E department at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. My job was to transport patients who had presented to A&E back to their home, settle them in and signpost them to other agencies with their permission, with a view to helping them lead an independent life and remain in their own home.
I began to realise how many people are lonely and need a friendly chat over a coffee, whether they live alone or are caring for a family member and need a break for a couple of hours from that responsibility.
I offer a range of services which include:
Light cleaning
Meal preparation
Pet walking/feeding
Companionship
Trips out (including evenings)
Transport to medical appointments
Painting and Decorating
Help with hobbies
Gardening
I am open to discuss services that suit your needs.
I love hearing about people’s history and their personal stories. I have a few stories myself : we can have a good chat and laugh about the old days!
I took care of my Mum who suffered with dementia. We had some great days out together, difficult at times but we also had some fun days. If you have a relative suffering with dementia, I have training and experience. I can relieve some of the pressure on you if you need a break.

I have been through the Community Catalysts programme in Denbighshire - 02/02/2022 Community Catalysts runs a local development programme in the area where this entrepreneur is operating that offers help, advice and support to local people. As part of this programme this enterprise/venture has signed up to the Doing It Right Standards. This does not mean that they have been accredited or approved in any way by the local council or by Community Catalysts and people should continue to do their own checks.
