Life Skills Rotherham Ltd. works with people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We work closely with Adult Social Care and the NHS in Rotherham and understand that people with learning disabilities across the borough are the furthest away from employment, yet most have the aspirations and capabilities to be in work of some kind. Nationwide there are only 6% of people with a learning disability in paid work (source Learning Disability Today). We have various commercial businesses such a Leisure Centre, Café, Car Wash, Printing and Woodwork shops to name a few. We also have good links with other local businesses that include Call Centres, Frozen Food Warehouses and DIY Shops. We use all these enterprises to create a vast and varied work experienced based offer that no one else can match. As well as work experience we teach academic and life skills through the use of our 3rd party training provider in order to give them the tools needed to find permanent work in something they excel at, and inevitably out of the government system. Our company belief is that everyone is good a something and with the right support we will help you find it
