Lifeline Sitter and Befriending Service

The Lifeline Service is owned and managed by a registered mental health nurse with a specialism in dementia and care of older adults. Lesley is a former Admiral Nurse and also worked as a community dementia nurse.

The service provides a support service including a sitter and befriending service for people in the local area. The service operates Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm, excluding bank holidays.

Lesley is NMC registered, she and her staff are fully insured, DBS checked and covid secure.

Lifeline can support people with welfare checks, medication administration, meal and drinks preparation. We also offer domestic support and community outings such as shopping trips or social outings. We support individuals to participate in their hobbies and interests, adding socialisation and structure to their day.

We support individuals who are able to mobilise independently or with the support of 1 person.

We offer support to informal carers through respite, education, advice and signposting.

Prior to introducing a support package, Lesley completes an initial face to face assessment to discuss individual requirements.
