Mary Hayter – Social Support

I am a  trained learning disability nurse and also a qualified adult education tutor who specialises in helping adults with  additional learning needs to develop their reading, writing and computer skills.

I am also a self~employed personal support assistant currently supporting people with a learning disability to actively participate in their local communities and develop their social awareness, verbal communication and language skills.

I am based in Somerset and I charge £10 per hour for support services. I also charge travel expenses at 45p a mile if my car is used, though I encourage the people I work with to use public transport.  I am also willing to drive a motability car if a person has one and their insurance permits it.

I can work evenings, weekends, support short breaks/sleepovers in a person’s home or in a short breaks self-catering venue.

I have an up to date enhanced DBS check and I have a clean driving licence.

People who use my service are able to access individualised support which is delivered in a very flexible way to suit each person’s individual needs, and which helps people to build up a community network.

Please do contact me for more information on how I can work with you.
