Mindful Gifts C.I.C enables people with dementia and older people access meaningful activities that has a positive impact on their wellbeing. We do this by selling suitable gift ideas and activities such as large piece jigsaws, adult colouring books, reminiscence aids and lots more.

We work at grass roots level and have developed the service to meet the needs of people with dementia, as we recognised that people with dementia were not engaging in activities and that this leads to boredom and depression.

As well as the website and engaging with the community at events, Mindful Gifts C.I.C has opened the first physical shop of its kind in the country.

The shop enables people to come and have a look at the range of activities available, get advice on what activities are more suitable, as well as getting information, advice and signposting on the services available to them in the area.

The shop also raises awareness of dementia and reduces the stigma attached to the condition.

We also currently run Peer Support Groups for people with dementia and older people to enable them to socialise and get advice and information from each other.
