Oak Care

My name is Ellie, I am a qualified and experienced carer. I created Oak Care after noticing the need for self-employed carers within the community, who have a strong focus on providing a person centred approach. As I have a level 2 and level 3 NVQ in health and social care I have been able to do some interesting and rewarding roles, such as a senior carer in a mental health care home and a deputy manager position of a care company. In my most recent role I noticed that community care companies often have a generic routine they follow, with little time for each client. Therefore, when starting back as a self employed carer I developed my approach further, to maintain a person centred routine with my client, which allows me to form a strong bond with them, meaning I can fully support them to fulfil their lives.

I offer services in the areas listed below, I am fully competent in all of them, through the amount of course and diplomas I have completed and experience I have gained:

  • Personal care – from support/encouragement to full assistance.
  • Food preparation
  • Medication administration
  • Manual handling- use of hoists, stand aids etc.
  • Companionship
  • General household tasks
  • Transportation- ability to take the client shopping, appointments and/or general errands- clean driving licence with business insurance on my car.

If you feel I would be a good match for you or someone you know, who needs some extra support/assistance please contact me.
