Senior Citizens Support Group (West Wakefield)

Contact details

We were founded in 2010 and our aims are to work towards the eradication of loneliness within our community by providing the motivation for people aged 60 or over to get out of the house. We achieve this by providing a wide range of events and activities which may appeal to older people.

These events and activities include a coffee morning every two weeks, bi weekly bingo sessions, monthly excursions to the coast or country, weekly chair exercise classes, weekly computer classes and one off theme events throughout the year culminating in a series of Christmas lunches.

While our group is run by only a small board of 5 people, we are making a difference to the lives of over 450 older people.

Membership is available to anyone aged 60 or over and resident within the Wakefiekd MDC boundary. Please see our contact details below on how you can get in touch with us.
