Are you going through a hard time in your life and need some help? Hello, my name’s Barbora and I run Shift Counselling in Selby, I am a qualified experienced counsellor and a BACP registered member. I offer a space to talk, so you can work through your difficulties in a complete confidence.
Shift Counselling is a private counselling practice founded on clinical excellence informed by up to date research. I’m passionate about my work as well as the long term benefits of talking therapies and am committed to making a difference to my clients’ lives.
I have helped clients overcome issues such as stress, emotional trauma, history of abuse and self harm. I also helped clients come to terms with bereavement, and supported clients going through depression and anxiety in finding better ways of coping and working towards a more positive future. I work in both individuals and couples who are looking for support in their relationships, but I also run group workshops and support groups for those wanting to connect with others.
I always wanted to help people, so following my qualifications and hands on experience in various setting I decided to create Shift Counselling in Selby to offer the type of counselling I would want myself. I wanted to create a safe space for people to be able to work through their issues at their own pace. I’m a firm believer in working with a ‘person’ and not the ‘label’ and this lays the foundation for the way I work.
