A simple call to brighten your day and make you be part of something bigger than yourself on an ongoing basis and be lonely no more.
Social Call Services is a technology driven company in Health and Social Care, created to help deal with the challenges of experiencing prolonged times of isolation and non-contact from other beings among the elderly, disabled and those dealing with mental health issues.
Social Call Services emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the vulnerable in our communities who live in prolonged isolation due to having lost their loved ones or those who find themselves living alone for many other reasons. We are driven by the desire for our actions to speak louder than words through our innovative P5MyCarePlan App easily used on handheld devices. Our hi-tech backed befriending service connects service users to a DBS screened support worker as well as to a variety of local activities, such as among others: day care centres, cookery classes, walking clubs, art groups, music and dance clubs, relatives living elsewhere etc.
We’re an organisation driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of person-centred support provision. The ‘P5MyCarePlan’ App, can use voice commands or text to access, so it offers some opportunities for those who cannot type to keep record of past conversations and experiences. It can also be used as a repository for carers, particularly new carers to the client as automatically a background of current and past life of the client can be shared with various levels of permissions. On the 15th of October 2018 the UK Government launched a loneliness support strategy which we totally support.
