Strawberry Moon – Massage for Carers in Somerset (Ladies only)

Do you look after others?  Feeling overworked, aching, stressed?  Is your body in need of relaxation and care?  Could you do with a massage, if you could afford it?

My name is Martha, and I’m a qualified professional massage therapist.  In one way or another I’ve acted as a carer – paid, unpaid, employed and self-employed – for nearly forty years.  I love helping others and know that while caring is a beautiful vocation, it can also be tough and demanding.  I passionately believe that we, carers, play a mega important part in the lives of the people we help – and yet we often don’t get the recognition, rewards or support we deserve.

This is what gave me the idea to offer massage to you, the carer – whether you are a professional or a family member.  Massage cannot take away the pressures of your job, but it can give you some time and space which is just for you.  And much more.

Massage is an ancient art of caring for the whole person.  It’s good for both your body and mind.  It can be especially therapeutic for you if you’re busy rushing around helping others.  It can help you relax, ease muscle tension, pains and aches, relieve stress, improve circulation, detox, condition your skin, and help your body feel loved and cared for.  Because of its soothing effect on your nervous system, it can help lift depression and anxiety.  In a nutshell, it helps you to feel happier and more comfortable “in your own skin”.

My mission is to provide a caring and listening bodywork service, where we work together to help you feel great according to your needs and preferences.

I offer massage sessions in Glastonbury at special rates for carers, and can travel to your home within a reasonable distance too –  Street, Wells and surrounding villages.   If you feel you’d like to give it a go, please phone or text me on 07783 686472, or email martha.jay@outlook.com

I look forward to helping you feel your best!

Martha
