We (Debbie and Louise) really care about people and are both passionate about the benefits of yoga and relaxation. We know not everyone finds it easy to get out and about and might feel a bit afraid to try something new.

During the “lockdown” earlier this year, we were persuaded to offer some sessions online, which wasn’t something we had ever imagined we would be doing. Neither of us are technically minded but we managed and set up some classes. We were ‘blown away’ by the feedback we received. We found that there were some great advantages to being able to all ‘meet up’ without having to leave our homes.  We were able to practice some movements, breath and relaxation techniques, which helped us all feel mentally and physically stronger, more mobile, more positive, more hopeful and less isolated. Although we are in Rochdale and Oldham, you can access our classes, from wherever you are.

We had many very encouraging messages from people, telling us what a difference these sessions were making to them. People told that they were feeling fitter and stronger physically and more able to cope mentally and emotionally, that the sessions were giving them a structure to their days and were giving them sense of connection and community with others.  So in August, we decided to join forces and set up a not profit company together, so that we could provide a variety of affordable classes over 6 days a week. We feel strongly that yoga is for everybody and everyone is welcome to try our sessions.

We use Zoom (a video conferencing service) for live classes (not recordings) so you will need an internet connection and a computer, tablet or phone to use. We know this can sound scary if it is something that you are not familiar with, but Zoom is really simple and straight forward to use and like anything else, once you have used it a few times it becomes easier. We can give you some guidance or there might be someone that you know, who can help you, until you feel more confident. You can turn off your camera if you don’t want anyone to see you, or keep it on, so we can see and help you.

Our classes are at different times of the day and evening and we invite you to do as much or as little as you like. You don’t need any special clothing or equipment, we invite you come as you are, treat it as “me time” and take what you need. Some sessions are from the floor to sitting and standing and others take place seated in a chair.
