Running a community micro-enterprise brings fantastic opportunities for enterprise leaders to work creatively and flexibly but it does bring challenges in that it can be hard to get known. At the same time, we also know it can be difficult for frontline workers to find appropriate support for people that they work with.
Central Bedfordshire Council are keen for Community Catalysts to help solve this problem and bring everyone together – face to face! Community Catalysts would like to invite you to a:
Speed networking session
On: 24th MARCH AT 9.AM -11.30 with an additional 30 minutes to have a quick bite to eat and mingle
At: The Rufus Centre Steppingley Rd, Flitwick, Bedford MK45 1AH
The venue has a large room to ensure that there’s lots of space for everyone to move around – this always happens in a planned way but extra precautions will be in place to make everyone feel safe. Refreshments on arrival.
You will have the opportunity to talk briefly about what you offer with 2 or 3 fellow enterprises on tables with 3 or 4 frontline workers. The workers will stay in the same spot and you will move to the next table to share again what you offer. It does take some talking but a great way to really show what you offer and for staff to ask (nice) questions. You can bring your leaflets along too.

Good to get first-hand how many different enterprises there are and how vast and varied they are. I learnt about the passion that they have about their services that they bring into the community. Communication is key! Face to face is better than any leaflet.
I found 2 solutions for people that I support from the speed networking event- fantastic!
The session has been highlighted to frontline workers and approx. 25 have signed up already!

Staff will be coming from 9.30am but enterprise leaders would need to be there at about 9am as it takes some positioning/planning.
