People and organisations who want to join the Small Good Stuff Directory must be delivering or plan to deliver supports or services that:

• Are small, flexible and person-centred
• Are provided in local communities
• Value the person and their gifts
• Promote diversity and equality of opportunity
• Are compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements
• Are viable and offer security to the people who use them

Members are expected to follow high standards of professional practice and to be committed to:

• Ensuring that their service is centred around the person and designed to meet their requirements
• Ensuring that their service is safe and follows safeguarding principles
• Continually improving the quality of the service that they offer
• Continually improving and developing their own knowledge and skills and supporting their workers to do the same

At the time of joining Small Good Stuff they must also:

• Have 8 or fewer full time equivalent workers (paid or unpaid)
• Be independent of any larger or parent organisation
