Training for community businesses and organisations from Stir to Action and the New Economy Programme
The New Economy Programme is for 2019-2020 programme is now open for bookings and and will take place in Plymouth, Bradford, Newcastle, Bristol, London, and Dorset from October 2019 to July 2020.
The training programme includes the following sessions:

- Community shares: Raising the right type of finance for your community venture
- Community wealth building: Building an economy for all
- Cutting the crap: Making community leadership work
- High streets: Agents for economic change
- Intersectional economics
- Local journalism: Writing about the new economy
- Media training: Becoming a spokesperson
- Movement building canvas
- Our power: decolonising economics
- Reframing new economy organisations for a shifting culture
- Resilience in practice
- The art of invitation: Creative approaches to community engagement
- The power of effective groups: Transforming how we work together
- Worker Co-ops: How to get started
Each session is a standalone workshop and fees are charged per session. There are reduced rates available for those on a low income. Sponsored places may also be available for those working in different sectors, such as co-operatives, digital technology, heritage, local development, food & farming, and others.
